Jean GASPA is a screenwriter and director with an unusual background. His artistic journey began when he was 15 years old and joined the Rap Writing workshop of his city’s youth service. A few years later his medium of expression became poetry and in particular his “rhymes on brick”. At the same time he wrote a first collection of poetry entitled “Banlieue de mots”, a ballad in verse and photography across the territory of the Seine Saint Denis. Then came the short stories, one of which would become his first short film. Following this first film, made completely self-taught, he joined the Kourtrajmé school to follow directing training. He continued with the Cinema93 writing residency, wrote and produced various projects then joined the Cité des Scénaristes. What he particularly likes to tell: the meeting of worlds, family, commitment.
